John Martin, Kilbroney, to Father Kenyon, 1 August 1864
Description
[Considering the donor's location in Co. Limerick, Kilbroney may be identified as the townland in Co. Cork rather than another so-named townland in Co. Down]. From the contents of this letter Fr. Kenyon is in America and thinking esacaping the [naval] blocade to emigrate to Australia. Author uses an Irish Language term "Leaba sioda' to describe receiving Fr. Kenyon's from his "silken bed".
