Padden Donovan Letters
Title
Minerva P. Donovan, Hull's Cross Roads, Oswego County, New York, to James w. Beekman, New York City, 21 December 1846
Description
She reports that the family is now doing well. The new cow is invaluable, their crops are abundant (except for potatoes, which failed), their hogs are fat. For the first time, she and her husband were able to send their children to school, as well
as clothe them, and she has high hopes they can make their next payment on the farm in April 1847.
