Anstis-Eady-Huston Letters
Title
Wills and Lydia Anstis, Park Bandon, County Cork, to his brother-in-law, Robert Eedy, Bathurst, New Brunswick, 6 April 1834
Description
Anstis reports that Bandon's tradesmen were in "a state of starvation ." He has lost the little land he formerly possessed and can keep his family alive only by weaving night and day. He reports that James Huston is still unemployed. Anstis has no money for emigration and begs for assisted passage, but he notes some kind of alienation between his wife, Lydia, and "sister Susan," who may be Robert Eedy's wife.
