McHenry-Moore Letters
Title
David Moore Shaw, "Ballywilkin" (i.e., Ballywillin townland, Raloo parish, Belfast Lower barony), County Antrim, to his uncle, Thomas Moore, Society Hill, Union Factory, Cheraw Court House, South Carolina, 17 September 1818
Description
Author appears to have been a son of Jane Moore Shaw and Robert Shaw. Letter provides good information about the Moore brothers, Shaw's uncles. Letter mostly concerns the death in America of Shaw's other uncle, John (Moore?-presumably in South Carolina?) and his Irish family's reception of the news of his death.
