G. Doyle Letter
Title
G. Doyle, Chester, Pennsylvania, to her cousin Abigail Boles, Wood House, near Cashel, County Tipperary, 26 July 1727
Description
An elderly G. Doyle writes to her cousin Abigail Boles of Woodhouse, homesick for her company as she has taken ill for six weeks and fears her impending death. She informs that many others have been struck down dead with illness in Philadelphia and gives news of friends and relations travelling to Ireland and England. She intended sending Abigail one of Elles Pugh's books on the history of the Indians and hopes her cousin will reply with a few lines. [Widower John Boles of Woodhouse married noted Quaker preacher, Abigail Craven in Limerick in 1719. Woodhouse was a registered Quaker Meeting House].
