Brown Brothers Letters
Title
Thomas Brown, 238 Market Street, Philadelphia, to his nephew, James Brown, Belfast, 30 March 1834
Description
Is this James #1 or James #2? It appears to be James #2, son of David and brother of William (now deceased), George, Samuel, and Hugh. So, James #2 must have returned to Ireland sometime after 1821, perhaps to take the place of Samuel or George in the family painting business. Reports that his brother Samuel Brown and family are well. His niece, Jane (sister of James #1) is in New Orleans. Thomas Brown (the writer) and his wife and family are well. "Have you heard from Ballymena lately"?
