O'Callaghan Letters
Title
Sister [Mary] Gabriel, Santa Brigida Carmelite Monastery, Rome, Italy, to cousin Kathleen, 4 February 1928
Description
Replying to her cousin Kathleen, from the Santa Brigida Carmelite Monastery in Rome, Sr Mary Gabriel sends her and her family spiritual and temporal blessings. She laments that Kathleen's family doesn't write to her any more even after she sent all the relics of the Little Flower (St. Therese of Lisieux) that she possessed to cousin May who had requested them, including more she obtained from the saint's sister, Mother Agnes. She relates news of her family's health (including other family members who had joined religious orders) and her religious activities in the monastery that Christmas, noting that 25 March will be her twenty-fifth anniversary of her "religious profession".
