Description
According to Arnold Schrier's notes, Nevitt emigrated to the US in 1801. He and his sister were Quakers. Nevitt is employed by (or in partnership with) a merchant; he has earned £500 in each of the last five years. He's married with four children and another on the way. He hopes to return permanently to Philadelphia, as well as to visit his family in Ireland. Addendum to letter, written in transit by Joshua Nevitt in Dublin; tells of the bankruptcies of Dublin's principal woolen merchants.
