Anderson-Waters Letters
Title
John Anderson, Cincinnati, Ohio, to his brother, Joseph Anderson, Coagh town, Tamlaght parish, County Tyrone, 2 May 1848
Description
Brother William, John's former correspondent, has died. Also, his own wife has died of consumption, a few weeks after a stillbirth. This letter (like his sister's and brother's letters) is replete with formulaic religious consolations and references to God1s will, etc. Asks for news about the "revolution in Ireland," and asks how the "poorer classes" are faring in his old neighborhood. Reports that economic conditions in Cincinnati are good.
