Anne Jane Waters, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to her brother, William Anderson, Coagh town, Tamlaght parish, County Tyrone, 24 November 1845
Description
Anne Jane apparently emigrated in 1833 or 1834. She greatly laments the news of their father's death, and mentions that "Aunt Watters" has also died in Ireland. Reports that the huge, recent fire in Pittsburgh destroyed much property belonging to their "noble and generous friend Mr Holmes," a merchant who trades with New Orleans and even Cuba. Her husband is named William John Waters; he may be a merchant of some sort.
