Description
Jonathan Smyth writes home to report he has been discharged by his brother Robert who did not appreciate him giving advice on how to run his business. He thanked the Lord for his assistance in his sickly uncle granting him charge of his store, however he subsequently fell violently ill himself with bilious fever and Robert kindly moved him into his house whle employing a new doctor. However, now recovered, Robert presented hm a bill of $13 while his uncle said his board covered all owed to him. He concludes noting that 'Sister Rachel will soon be no more" with consumption.
