Shehan Letters
Title
Daniel T. Shehan to his parents, November 14, 1841
Description
This letter's transcription partly contains the same contents as the 'fourth' letter to Shehan's parents, of 4 October 1841. Shehan pleads that his Kerry family do not fall out with each other and "remain united" in his absence. He claims land is cheap in Canada and "why tradesmen can do well here" while listing prices of common foodstuffs. He learns of [Daniel] O'Connell from the local "liberal" newspaper but states that "this town is mostly all orange".
