Description
He tells her that he was ordered to this location at short notice, and arrived after a march of 175 miles through 'awful' countryside. He describes his present camp as 'a collection of wood and mud huts, 25 miles from the U.S. boundary '. The nearest shop is 46 miles away and is the size of a packing case'. He is not looking forward to being in civilian clothes when he takes his discharge.
