[Archivist note: This typed transcript is incomplete. 'Boleg' may refer to 'Boley' (townland) in County Wicklow. There are two 'Boley' townlands in County Wicklow.] Usual obsequious salutation to him and Mrs. Phelan. Announces birth of another daughter, her fourth. "dear Mr Phelan I am just after receiving an open envelope from you with post mark of Sandiego on it dated the 21st April and no contents in it. So dear Mr Phelan I would wish to know was there a letter or any thing particular in it as I intend to write to the Post Office Authority when I hear from you hoping you will drop me a line as soon possible for I am greatly annoyed about it on account of it being opened..."
