Title
Photograph of Peter "Phatch" Faherty manuring the ground.
Description
Photograph of Peter "Phatch" Faherty with a spade manuring a small patch of ground, Inishmore, Aran Islands. Peter stands to the right of the photo. He is turned slightly toward the left. He bends down, holding a shovel with both hands. His left hand grips the handle in front of his right. He wears a hat with a bobble, a dark jumper and grey trousers. There is a large clump of soil on the head of the shovel. In the foreground some ground has been dug up. Otherwise the ground appears rocky and flat. There is a dry stone wall in the background. Above it is the vast sky.
