Description
Two hardbound copies and one soft bound copy of articles on the disappearance, murder and burial of Patrick and Harry Loughnane of Shanaglish, near Gort, written by Padraig Fahy. The brothers were arrested at their farm on 26th November 1920 by a group of auxilliaries and RIC . Their bodies were found mitilated in a lake near the auxilliary base at Drimharsna Castle, Ardrahan ten days later. The booklet also includes a poem to the brothers by Rev. Maurice Slattery SMA, their memorial card and two photographs of the Memorial Cross. One of the hardbound copies includes photographs of the mutilated and burned remains of the brothers.
