Title
Mrs C. P. Holloway, Woodlawn, Portland, Oregon, to Mrs Flood, County Sligo, 6 June 1906
Description
Mrs. C.P. Holloway replies to her friend's letter, sending her regards and understands from the newspapers that there was a fire on the island, from which she states that the "Iseland people is just the same as the[y] were 30 years ago […] god help the poor Irish". [The transcript is appended with a note stating that the letter was found on the island opposite Rosses point in a derelict house, likely Coney island where a Joseph and Annie Flood lived with their family during the 1911 census].
