Description Brown sailed from Belfast to Londonderry and from thence to Philadelphia. Evidently the ship put into Derry in distress from storms or leaks: "as to our Bread When it was brought ashore out of fifteen Barrels Wee got seven of them scarsely sufficient for Dogs". The ship had foundered and had to be "hailed off the Bank" on June 24. However, Brown reassured himself that the ship was now, after repairs, "very seafe". Ship was due to sail from Derry on June 30. Mentions brothers Hugh and "Littel William ... Be Shure to give him learning as if any thing may offer I Intend Not to for gett him if I stay there (Philadelphia)".
