Description
Interview with Peter Mulryan, and his wife Kathleen Mulryan, as part of the Tuam Mother and Baby Home Oral History Project. Interview conducted by Mary Cunningham. The interview records Peter's experiences and earliest memories, regarding his treatment with his foster family in County Galway, following his leaving St. Marys Mother and baby Home, Tuam, as a young child. Peter discusses his experiences in school in Tuam as a child; his later working life and education, his relationship and family with his wife, Kathleen; how he discovered that he was born in the Tuam Moter and Baby Home; the role of Catherine Corless; experiences of meeting his birth-mother at the the Magdalene Laundry in Galway, as well as details of his work and legal challenges in order to secure his own records as well as more information regarding his sister, also born in the Tuam Mother and Baby Home.
