Transcript of interview with Carmel Larkin, conducted by Mary Cunningham as part of the Tuam Mother and Baby Home Oral History Project. The interview includes testimony from Larkin, who was born in the Tuam Mother and Baby Home, regarding her treatment and experiences as a young child within the Tuam Home; accounts of her later fostering and childhood within her foster home. Larkin describes the relationship with her foster parents and foster siblings and provides accounts of visits to the foster house by social worker and the ongoing contact with the social worker throughout her time with the family. The interview covers Larkin's move to London for a number of years and her later experiences of accessing records from her own personal files as well as burial information on her birth mother.
