Photograph of a pig handed from a large boat into a currach.
Description
Photograph of a pig being handed down from a large boat into a currach, Aran Islands. On the right is part of the large boat. A currach is drawn up along side it. On the left two other currachs have drawn up beside the first one. In the right background, a man on the large boat leans out, holding a pig's front legs in his hands. One of the men in the first currach grasps the pig around the middle. He is standing up and his ripped trousers can be clearly seen. He also wears a flat cap, a body warmer and a shirt. There are at least three other pigs already standing in the bottom of the currach, as well as two sacks behind the standing man. A second man in the currach, also wearing a flat cap, is visible in the left foreground. His back is to the camera.
